Seniors in Networked Communities (SINC)

Our SINC workers provide individualised support to people throughout the ACT and NSW Southern Highlands who are:

  • 65 years or older, or 50 years or older and identify as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person, or 50 years or older and on a low income, homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • still living at home
  • in need of help at home to continue to live independently

Services may include:

  • allied health & therapy services
  • domestic assistance
  • home maintenance & repairs (includes gardening)
  • home or community general respite
  • personal care
  • social support (group or individual)
  • transport

We also hold regular community education talks for senior members of the community in the ACT. Guest speakers are invited to provide information covering various topics of interest.

Referral

A referral can be made by an individual or on an individuals behalf by a friend or family member, another health professional (such as their GP) or another service provider.

Referrals can be made by completing the referral form or contacting our team on 6162 6100.

For our direct supports, we can also provide that extra bit of support and/or piece of mind. The CHOICES & Aged Care On Call Service offers rostering support and can triage your call to support you outside of business hours.
