Grandparent’s Group

Grandparents Group provides support, education and social connection for people who are preparing to be or who are the primary carer for their grandchild/ren aged 0-18 years.

Grandparents Group meets on a monthly basis offering the chance to connect with other Grandparents in a similar situation, offering advocacy, advice and the chance to discuss the issues they may be facing.

Who is our service for?

Any Grandparents that are:

  • Preparing to be the primary carer for their grandchild/ren aged zero to eighteen
  • Are the primary carer for their grandchild/ren aged zero to eighteen
  • Wanting to meet with other Grandparents in a similar situation
  • Needing advocacy, advice and support
  • Wanting to discuss issues
  • Wanting to receive peer support from experienced Grandparent with lived experience

How do we work?

We focus on delivering support, education and social connection to Grandparents who are preparing to be or who are the primary carer for their grandchild/ren aged zero to 18 years.

What do we offer?

A monthly meeting that provides social connection, support and education to people who are facing varied and demanding challenges in their role as Grandparents.
