The Family Skills program supports parents and carers in strengthening family relationships and developing a better understanding on how to effectively support children and young people. We offer both individual counselling and group programs with a focus on increasing parental capacity and connection between parents and their child/ren.
Individual Counselling
Clients are offered between 6 to 12 sessions, which are individualised to meet their specific needs. Clinicians assist parents/carers to find strategies for managing their child/ren’s emotions, reduce conflict and build resilience, and develop ways to manage their own emotions.
Group Programs
Group programs are facilitated by clinicians and benefit from the shared experiences of group members. Groups have a maximum size of 12 participants. The following group topics are held throughout the year.
