Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn celebrate launch of historic merger

After two years of incredibly hard work and dedication, bringing two organisations with rich histories together, Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn celebrated its official launch on Friday, 30th June.

Joined by many staff, volunteers and supporters, CEO Anne Kirwan stated “This is a huge milestone day for us, we begin a new chapter in our caring journey, and we are incredibly proud that our foundations hold the stories of courageous, passionate, hard-working, committed women and men who rolled up their sleeves to provide essential services and spiritual support during critical periods in the lives of others”.

For over 60 years, both organisations have supported communities in Canberra and the surrounding regions, providing services for people in times of need. “In coming together, we are not interested in being the biggest, but we are ambitious to be providers of excellence within our areas of expertise, delivering evidence-based services that make a real difference in the lives of those we encounter and support” Mrs Kirwan said.

Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn look forward to supporting the community in the future, providing a wider range of services to reach more people in need, while being a stronger and more unified voice for individuals and families in the community.
