Family Preservation

The Family Preservation Program, established by the Department of Family and Community Services provides support and services to help children remain safely at home with their families.

The Family Preservation Program aims to provide hands-on support with an intensive approach delivered largely in the family home.

The program is tailored to each family depending on their specific needs and includes the following core components:

• Family and parenting support
• Child-focused support
• Safety monitoring
• Risk mitigation.

The program also works to provide any extra support and services as required by the family.
