Arts Therapy

Arts therapy is an evidence-based, creative process used to make changes, move through challenging times, and explore new ways of communicating, feeling, thinking and living.

In arts therapy you can use creativity to help with stress, anxiety, and recovery, and to improve your mental health.

Registered Arts Therapists are specialist professionals trained to postgraduate level, who work with people from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles, and of all ages and abilities.

At Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn, our arts therapists are professionally registered with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) and accredited to work with people who have NDIS plans.

You don’t have to know anything about art, or be ‘good’ at it, to use arts therapy. It’s the process of expressing things, that perhaps you can’t say with words, that’s important.

We currently provide services from our studio in Red Hill.
